Mike P. Hamby D.D.S., P.A.

A North Carolina native, Dr. Mike Hamby grew up in Durham and graduated from North Carolina State University. He then went on to continue his education at the University of North Carolina Dental School and has served Fuquay-Varina and the surrounding areas since 1985. It has been his pleasure to accomodate the needs of this rapidly growing community. Not only does he offer professional service to his community but he also desires to dedicate his time and resources to his fellow citizens.

Dr. Hamby is active in his Church having served as an Elder, Deacon, and Sunday School teacher. He is past President of the Lion's Club, and serves as a Founder and Director on the Board for Patriot State Bank. He is also a regular sponsor of Fuquay-Varina community youth sports teams. Throughout the years, Dr. Hamby has enjoyed treating the children of Belarus who have had their health compromised due to the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant disaster. These children come to the United States for a six week period to offset the physical affects of radiation exposure.

Participation in Continuing Education is a priority to Dr. Hamby and his staff; assuring that his patients are provided with with most up-to-date, cutting edge procedures and technologies. He maintains his membership with the American Dental Association.

Dr. Hamby loves the outdoors and is an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoys sports, travel, and time with his family.



Scott K. Butts D.D.S.

Dr. Scott K. Butts joins us by way of Minot, North Dakota. Dr. Butts couples his skill of being an excellent dentist with his invaluable skills as a Registered nurse as well. He has a great rapport with his patients and the staff.

Dr. Butts graduated from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks with a degree in Business Administration. He then pursued a degree in Nursing from the University of Syracuse in Syracuse, New York followed by a degree in dentistry from the University of North Carolina.

Dr. Butts has served his country by joining the United States Army as an officer in the Army Nurse Corps. His army stint took him to such places as Walter Reed Army Medical Center, and Ft. Sam Houston, San Antonio Texas. As a civilian he has worked as a Nurse for Duke University Hospital. He continues volunteer work at the Durham Public Health Department.

He continues to maintain his RN licensure, as well as his membership to the American Dental Association.

Dr. Butts enjoys spending his leisure time following sports, Nascar, cooking and spending time with his wife and two boys.
